Teaching and Learning

I have always enjoyed working with children. I love to see them get excited about something new. I love to watch them create.

Over the past year, I have worked with some non profit organizations and art centers, incorporating my wellness curriculum into the program.

Art Camp

This group of children attended a winter arts camp, where they learned the healing properties of herbs and essential oils. They were given the opportunity to test different scents and mix their own essential oils and herbs into a body scrub mixture they created from sea salt and olive oil.

The children also learned the importance of eating healthy foods, and we created a huge feast for the last of Kwanzaa. They did a great job working together, and loved to prepare, cook and eat the feast!

Learning Yoga

The children were very excited to learn yoga. They were each given a few cards with different postures to learn. Each card included a picture of the posture and described the healing benefits. They each took time alone to practice the postures, and shared them with everyone, explaining the benefits and demonstrating how to do them.
